I’m Voltaire John Biton, a DevOps, SRE, and Platform Engineer with 11+ years across software development and cloud operations. I help teams migrate critical systems, improve reliability, reduce infrastructure cost, and ship safely — using AI to accelerate the work while keeping architecture, security, validation, and production accountability firmly human.

Impact / 01
The strongest evidence is what changed: lower cost, safer operations, faster migration, and less friction for development teams.
Career arc / 02
Software development was not a previous life. It is the foundation that makes my infrastructure work more useful to product teams.
I started as a web developer in 2015, working across frontend and backend systems. As my responsibilities expanded, I took ownership of databases, deployments, Linux servers, and production troubleshooting.
That progression became a career in DevOps, SRE, and platform engineering—without losing the ability to understand, review, debug, and ship application code. It is why I can follow a production problem across the application and infrastructure boundary instead of handing it between teams.

I use Codex, Claude, Cursor, and OpenRouter across infrastructure development, application code, troubleshooting, research, automation, documentation, and migrations.
Architecture, access control, validation, security, rollback, cost, and production safety remain my responsibility. Production access stays controlled, and consequential changes keep human review.
Frame the problem and constraints
Generate or investigate with AI assistance
Review the code and architecture
Test in controlled environments
Roll out with human approval and rollback paths
Observe production behavior and correct assumptions
Experience / 05
The scope grew from features and application code to the delivery, infrastructure, and reliability of the whole system.

Capabilities / 06
The technologies matter because of what they help a team migrate, automate, secure, observe, and operate.
Capability 01
Designing operable platforms and migration paths across cloud providers.
Capability 02
Repeatable environments and safer paths from change to production.
Capability 03
Signals and operating practices that make production behavior understandable.
Capability 04
Private connectivity, controlled access, and practical cloud network design.
Capability 05
Operating and migrating relational, document, search, and caching systems.
Capability 06
Reading, reviewing, debugging, and shipping the applications behind the platform.
Capability 07
Accelerating implementation and investigation while retaining human validation and production control.
Technology landscape / 07
A categorized view of the platforms, frameworks, and systems I’ve worked with—from AWS primitives to application delivery and AI-assisted engineering.
Cloud platform
Compute, containers, networking, edge delivery, databases, security, observability, and event-driven workloads on AWS.
This is a working toolkit, not a proficiency scorecard. The case studies show depth in context.
Principles / 08
Optimize cost first—right-size early and add complexity only when it earns its place.
Reliability before unnecessary complexity
Design for the team that must operate the system
Automate repetitive work
Measure before optimizing
Keep production access controlled
Prefer clear rollback paths
Treat observability as part of the product
Improve developer experience without compromising safety
AI accelerates engineering but does not replace accountability
